Gogoat (the Mount Pokémon) is an uncommon Grass-type Pokémon found among grassy plains and mountainous environments within the Kalos and Paldea regions. Though they might not have the extreme brute force of more powerful Grass-type Pokémon, Gogoat are imposing beasts that can more than butt heads with the opposition when the time is right. Do yourself a favor and make sure that you watch what you do in front of these massive beasts of burden; they may not mind being ridden every once in a while, but try to abuse them too much, and these critters will be more than happy to smash into you head-long and crush you beneath the weight of their feet!

The members of the Skiddo family are another classic example of plants and animals developing together in a symbiotic relationship, but unlike similar life forms who have lost all aspects of their animalistic nature in their type assignment, these creatures are still technically considered mammals and are able to reproduce and interact with others in a fairly animalistic fashion. It is unclear as to when these goat relatives first came into contact with the mutant plant that now courses through their bodies and is ingrained in their genetics, but it seems that it may have occurred sometime within the last several thousand years, given the fact that they still maintain many animalistic traits in their anatomy and behavior. These creatures are hardy animals that have adapted to not only live within the vast, grassy plains that cover much of the Kalos region but more importantly the slightly harsher mountainous terrain that appears in spots across the region. The mutant plant that is a part of these creatures is recognized as a unique type of ivy that possesses grass-like blades on its form along its main stem, giving their coat the appearance of being made out of grass. Because the union of these two different organisms with this plant is fairly recent, they have yet to be able to harness the natural powers of the plant to use Grass-type special attacks; in fact, they cannot learn any special attacks on their own. Even so, they are able to utilize their plant 'partner' in battle to some degree with powerful attacks like Razor Leaf and Leaf Blade, and can sustain themselves on little more than water and sunlight, allowing them to survive even in the most barren of environments. Moreover, these creatures are surprisingly resilient in battle and are more than capable of putting up a good fight in battle; the only real problem they can have is dealing with Fire-types, as both the leafy portion of their coat and their actual hair are highly flammable, though it is noted that Skiddo and Gogoat have managed to make up for this by learning attacks like Bulldoze that can equalize the threats posed by such opposition.

Unlike their more complacent pre-evolved form, Gogoat are fierce creatures that are extremely territorial and more than capable of proving that point in and outside of battle. These goat relatives tend to shy away from the lush, grassy plains of the region and instead take refuge in the more mountainous portions, where they can live in peace and away from humans. For some reason or another, wild Gogoat are not friendly towards strangers and will often try and ram anything that enters their territory without permission, especially in the case of a nosy human that doesn't know any better. Here, only the Gogoat reign supreme, and the same group mentality seen in other types of wild goats can be observed, such as the leader of a herd being decided by a clashing of horns between rival males. This increased aggression and power is reflected not only in their stats but more importantly their offenses, as their larger size and greater strength enables them to utilize several attacks that Skiddo cannot learn normally, namely the Earthquake and Aerial Ace attacks (the latter of which is acquired immediately after evolving). Despite their fierce personalities, however, Gogoat can and have been trained by humans in the past, up to 5,000 years ago, to act like sheep-herding dogs in a sense, leading around flocks of Skiddo and Gogoat and ensuring that they are where they are supposed to be. These beasts can even be ridden, but doing so is a challenge as they are much more particular about who can and cannot ride them. This comes as a result of these beasts being able to tell the actual feelings of a rider as they mount them just by sensing the way they grip their steed's horns. Those that a Gogoat feel are untrustworthy will be bucked off almost immediately, but for those that they trust, they will act empathetically towards them and obey them completely, enabling the two to effectively run across the land as if they were a single, unified entity in mind. The fact that they are much more dangerous and tenacious than Skiddo makes them a poor choice for commercial uses in many cases, but for trainers looking to add a powerful beast to their team capable of bringing physical might, these strange goats can be the perfect Grass-type addition to just about any team.

They certainly might not be among the most traditional of Grass-type fighters out there, but Gogoat are durable creatures that can transport and support much more mass than any other goat or goat-like beast in the world. With the highest base HP stat out of all Grass-type Pokémon and access to physical attacks more than capable of crushing the opposition, this is definitely one beast of burden that should be watched at all times in battle. Granted, they might not be able to naturally make much use of their otherwise decent base Special Attack stat, but underestimate the sheer might of these mammals in battle, and you'll more than receive their horns in places that they were never meant to be!

Does science explain how Gogoat can sense the emotions of people that interact with their horns? Are sensory nodes within in the horns or something?
