As a monster to most who is only respected by his peers for his sheer brutality and incredible success as a bounty hunter, Kanden is the result of a failed science experiment designed to create the ultimate living weapon, a task that proved to be a bit too successful. Kanden was created as part of an unknown bioweapon experiment that sought to create a monster that was invincible and could be trained as the ultimate soldier in battle free from the bonds of emotions, and it was accomplished as such by taking a member of the Enoema race and incorporating the genetic material of some of the most dangerous insects and insectoids in the known universe into its own DNA, ultimately creating the monster that would come to be known as Kanden. However, what his experimenters did not predict was that a flaw in the mental encoding would warp and distort Kanden’s mind, degenerating his sanity into that of a wild animal and making him extremely brutal, ferocious and unpredictable. In a fit of rage, Kanden escaped from the facility he was being kept at and destroyed the laboratory, killing all of the scientists that had created him in the process. Upon escaping back into the outside world, Kanden found himself without a place to go or a home to go back to; as such, he put his violent disposition and incredible knack for tracking and killing prey to work as a bounty hunter, and while he has only been in the game for a few years, he is still one of the most feared and reviled of all and will not be afraid to kill everything and anything that dares to stand in his way.

As a result of his subsequent mutation, Kanden’s body courses with electricity and his signature weapon, the Volt Driver, is literally a biological component of his body just as all of his other weapon systems are. This living weapon, which has incorporated in it the DNA from several creatures that are specially adapted for hostile environments, has an armored exoskeleton that protects a gelatinous body capable of transforming energy from a planet’s magnetic field into waves of high-voltage electricity before firing the gathered energy in the form of a ball of moderately-fast-moving energy. The Volt Driver is only moderately powerful on its own, but it can fire almost as quickly as the Power Beam and is thus a devastating weapon, with its charged shot being even more damaging and even more massive and therefore difficult to avoid. If used as an affinity weapon by Kanden, this weapon’s charged shots will work just like the charged Wave Beam and will home in on a target via attraction to their electromagnetic energy signature and will even disrupt their software, causing temporary Visor interference when the projectile strikes. As a result of its use of electricity as a weapon, the power of this device can waver a bit depending upon the strength of a planet’s electromagnetic field, but it will always be useful for short-circuiting old nuclear engines and is thus a must for taking down any bounty hunter that has the Battlehammer equipped. Additionally, if Kanden needs to escape or otherwise scurry out of the way of direct fire, he can take on an Alt-Form called the Stinglarva (a direct result of the infusion of the DNA of many predatory insects into his genome). In this form, Kanden looks very much like an organic insect larva, but coated in a thick exoskeleton similar in color to Kanden with a segmented body and a single, unblinking eye. As a Stinglarva, Kanden can move around much faster than normal and can release segments of his tail as make-shift bombs, as they are filled with a volatile substance that becomes unstable when exposed to any atmosphere with oxygen in it, detonating with the same power and functions as a Morph Ball Bomb (though it can provide a bit more height) as the Stinglarva regrows its tail in preparation or another attack. Kanden’s Alt-Form is one of the more dangerous to encounter because of how low to the ground it is, which makes it easier to hide on the lip of a platform and not get hit while retaliating with a bit of firepower of his own. Combined with his already unstable personality and powers, this makes Kanden a fierce opponent to face in any battle, and while he may be slower than pretty much all other bounty hunters he competes with, he is still a devastating opponent that will be more than happy to turn a target into meat fragments or even a meal if it means accomplishing his goals, and he is not too picky about who or what he kills in the process.
