Panpour (the Spray Pokémon) is a rare Water-type Pokémon found among freshwater ponds and grassy fields throughout the Unova region as well as parts of the Kalos region and Africa. Unique for their surprising mastery over the Water-type, these bizarre apes are adorable creatures that can make great partners for young trainers lucky enough to find them. The only major issue you'll probably have with them is getting them to rely less on their eyesight in and outside of combat as a daily tool, as once these critters find themselves in a state of calm, they won't be able to see a single thing in front of them!

Panpour and Simipour differ from traditional mammals in that their cells actually need to be turgid in order to remain healthy, much as with plant cells; as such, their bodies have effectively become designed to act as portable storage vessels for vast quantities of water. Most of their reserve water is kept within the tuft on their head and is slowly drained of water in order to maintain a turgid cellular state at all times; when they start to run out of water, Panpour and Simipour will use their tails as vacuums, sucking up any water they can find and filtering out any adverse chemicals or solids with surprising efficiency. Needless to say, these creatures cannot survive very long within dry environments and are exceptionally susceptible to the effects of intense sunlight, making them slightly more vulnerable to Fire-type attacks than most other pure Water-types. However, they are still often used in the irrigation of farms and crops in dry and moist environments alike because the water that passes through the tuft on their head actually gains valuable nutrients essential for plant growth as it passes close to their bloodstream, making the water similar to commercial fertilizers but without the chance of included pesticide toxins. Lastly, it is important to note that Panpour and Simipour are actually able to use their own body heat to raise the temperature of their stored water before firing it, effectively making them and Volcanion the only Pokémon able to learn the devastating Scald attack naturally.

It is interesting to note that Panpour share a strange connection with the legendary three wise monkeys, in particular Mizaru. When Panpour find themselves in a moment of peace and tranquility, they enter a strange meditative state; while in this state, Panpour lose the ability to see. The reasoning behind this is still a bit of a mystery, but it appears that calming their nerves actually forces part of their brains to shut down temporarily. This may be done in an effort to maintain their meditative state as long as possible but, seeing as they do not possess any natural psychic powers or have a need to do so offense-wise, it is a wonder that they meditate much at all; it is entirely possible, however, that Panpour merely recognize the importance of keeping both mind and body healthy together.

While they might not be among the most powerful of fighters, Panpour are still highly energetic creatures that can easily make their presence known on almost any battlefield. With a rather diverse set of moves at their disposal and an adorable appearance that few can truly dislike, these little critters can certainly be made into efficient combatants with the right amount of training and patience. Even if you don't want to battle with one, you should at least try to locate one if you're into gardening; after all, fertilizer is expensive these days, so why bother paying for any at all when you can just get some every time you fill your watering can!?

Since Panpour is a Water-type, is it good at swimming?
