The Psycho Bits are a series of robotic defense drones built by the Alimbics as a simple offensive system for clearing out hostile enemies of all shapes and sizes. While these machines differ in power and abilities depending upon the type of model, they all share the same basic body form and function. Built originally as sentry drones, these round machines are equipped with a single main infrared sensor eye integrated with a 360-degree color visual sensor that allows them to see all around them without having to turn their bodies, as well as a low-level teleportation device that enables them to simply teleport into a room and swarm an intruder en masse without too much worry (though sometimes they may just swarm out from EnemySpawners). The basic model of the Psycho Bit is grey in color and fires simple energy blasts that do not so much in the way of direct harm to a target and are incapable of taking much in the way of damage; the green variety of the original model, on the other hand, has much better defenses and fires a heavy-duty gun powered by a nanoscale nuclear reactor, giving its shots the same energetic quality as the Battlehammer. The v2.0 model of the Psycho Bit is yellow in color and is equipped with a powerful electromagnetic cannon that fires electrified projectiles similar in form and function to the Volt Driver, including the ability to readily stun and disrupt the Visor technology of anything that it hits. The v3.0 model of Psycho Bit is reddish-orange in color and is able to fire superheated energy projectiles at its target to attack, giving its weapon the same effects as the Magmaul including its ability to burn anything that gets hit by it. Finally, the v4.0 model of Psycho Bit, the last to be produced, is blue and purple in color and is equipped with cryogenic nanite technology that allows the drone to fire beams of supercooled plasma at its target to damage them, possessing the same projectile form and freezing aftereffects of the Judicator; it is suspected that this freezing ability was what led to the end of the line in their model production, as the weapon of this machine can freeze and leave a target open to more attacks, solidifying it as the most dangerous in the bunch. While the basic Psycho Bits can be easily damaged by standard gunfire, more advanced models are much more resilient against damage and are thus best tackled with a weapon type of some sort that can take advantage of their elemental affinities to destroy them with only a few shots.
