Salazzle (the Toxic Lizard Pokémon) is an exceptionally rare Poison/Fire-type Pokémon found among volcanoes, deep caves and dry, craggy environments within the Alola, Galar, Paldea and Kitakami regions. Cunning to the extreme and more than willing to use their sex to control their allies, Salazzle are vicious creatures that know how to use their charms and natural powers to make everything bow down and submit to their will. You might not have to worry too much about encountering these rare creatures in the wild, but if you, you would be better off running than fighting; they might not have a lot to offer in terms of defense, but that probably won’t matter much once one of these lizards puts you under her spell and reduces you to little more than a pet!

While Salandit are relatively weak on their own and have to live in groups in order to take advantage of the numbers game, their evolved form, Salazzle, never has to worry about this and never live in the company of other Salazzle or even female Salandit. This is directly connected to the fact that Salazzle will only evolve from Salandit if they are female; no male Salazzle has ever been scientifically observed in the wild or in captivity. It is uncertain as to why this is the case, but malnutrition among male Salandit is strongly considered to be a contributing factor and it may also have something to do with the fact that all male Salandit are born completely fertile and ready to mate, whereas females develop at a slower pace. As a result, reaching physical maturity for them is a much bigger dealing biologically and partially explains at least why this might trigger evolution in them, though the full answer has yet to be revealed. Regardless, though, these creatures possess the same general array of powers seen among regular Salandit and specialize in using their combustion and toxin-producing organs in tandem to produce a sweet-smelling but toxic gas that entrances and confuses all that inhale it, giving these creatures the chance to attack with scorching flames to roast their opposition or otherwise force them into following their direct orders. This again also plays into their Corrosion Ability and how it enables them to Poison any type of Pokémon regardless of type, but it is duly noted that the pheromones that are produced by these creatures are much stronger and more alluring than those produced by female Salandit and are made constantly, so they are released with every burst of gas from their bodies. These pheromones, when distilled down to an incredible dilute level, can actually be used to make high-quality perfume with non-toxic yet entrancing qualities that can make the hearts of even the hardest men melt in an instant. Furthermore, as far as their combat attributes go, these creatures are able to make good use of their strong but lithe bodies to utilize a number of moves that are otherwise inaccessible to Salandit, including the Pound, Disable, Swagger, Torment, Encore, Knock Off and Fire Lash moves, the last of which they gain access to immediately upon evolving. In accordance with this power, it is thus not completely surprising then that a Salazzle once served as a Totem Pokémon at the Wela Volcano Peak on Akala Island of the Alola region, dwelling at the top of the volcano and waiting to challenge trainers that wished to pass the Fire-type Trial, before it was replaced by the current Totem Pokémon, an Alolan Marowak.

Because Salazzle hold the majority of power in the family in terms of combat potential, it is not surprising then that Salazzle often serve as the leaders of large groups of male Salandit. You will never find more than one female of either stage of evolution in a group, however, because Salazzle effectively treat the group that they lead as a reverse harem of nothing but male Salandit. This not only grants them complete and absolute control over the group as a result of their trance-inducing pheromones but, more importantly, grants these creatures the opportunity to mate at any time they wish and with whatever partner they wish, resulting in a lack of a breeding season for these reptiles. While female Salandit are known to mate with a fellow group member every once in a while, whenever Salazzle are feeling like they need to produce more Salandit for them to control, they will engage with a male Salandit in the evening and do what they wish to do with them. It also seems that these creatures value the act of mating with great fervor, as they will reward or punish the members of their harem depending upon how effective their mate was at performing his expected job. This can become quite dangerous for male Salandit, however, because if they so much as fail to bring the female food or successfully pleasure her when she wants it, they can be on the receiving end of a fierce slap from the female’s flame-spewing palms that can leave permanent scorch marks. This can make these beasts extremely fickle and dangerous for even humans to own and often leads to contests of control among different groups, the winner being the one with the largest number of Salandit under their control, but those that are able to gain their trust will easily have the power of an entire pack of Salandit at their disposal in the right locations if they become desperate.

Wicked in their mannerisms and agile enough to slink past most offenses, Salazzle are devious lizards that can more than put their feminine charm to work in conquering the competition in battle. Getting one of these creatures on your team might be a daunting task, but for those willing to take the time to do so, they can more than prove to be versatile beasts on the battlefield. If you plan on raising one of these creatures, though, do your best to assert some form of dominance over them; it might seem cruel, but if you are male, it might be the only option you have to prevent yourself from becoming just another one of their cronies when they feel like having a bit of fun!

Whoa, reading this again, is it true that Salazzle will take male of any species? Even humans?

Also, what if the trainer is a female? Does the presence of another female bother a Salazzle in sone sort of way? I know a female trainer in Alola is trying to raise one, so some tips can come in handy~ Don't want to risk anything.
