Seviper (the Fang Snake Pokémon) is an uncommon Poison-type Pokémon found among grassy fields within the Hoenn, Unova, Kalos and Paldea regions and the Blueberry Academy Terarium as well as the Sinnoh region on rare occasions. Vicious in temperament and dangerous to fight unarmored, Seviper are powerful beasts that can more than deliver a nasty shock to anyone unable to adapt to their venomous ways. They might not look exceedingly dangerous, but once you've been hit by their Poison Tail and Poison Fang attacks, you'll learn just how much of a threat they truly are; just try not to have them fight against a Zangoose, or it may end up being a fight to the death!
Although they are similar to Arbok in that they are closely related to snakes, Seviper have no need to rely on fear to weaken opponents in battle as they gain access to powerful Poison-type attacks fairly early in their lives and specialize in particular in the Poison Tail and Poison Fang attacks. Regardless of which end of their body an opponent chooses to go for, the results will rarely be very pleasing. On the one hand, Seviper have massive fangs that allow them to deliver powerful Bite and Crunch attacks to unarmored and even lightly armored foes, as the thick blades easily pierce flesh and flimsy armor like ice picks going through a block of ice before injecting a lethal venom to finish the job. On the other hand, their tail is adorned with a powerful blade made of organic steel that is constantly sharpened upon rocks and coated with an identical venom capable of easily poisoning and killing smaller creatures with a single slice. Together, these features make Seviper a poor choice to attack directly, especially since they can utilize special and physical attacks equally well and can deliver a considerable beating despite their otherwise limited range of attack types. As with many other snakes, Seviper are cunning creatures that can outwit many opponents and get close enough to use their venom even when they are at a Speed disadvantage, often times using their potent Glare technique to hold the opposition in place while they strike. They might not have the sheer constricting power of Arbok, but in terms of combat capabilities, Seviper are still the dominant fighters and have a much greater chance of finding use in battle than their relative in the Ekans family.
For as long as anyone in the modern world can remember, Seviper and Zangoose have been bitter rivals and have effectively adapted their natural abilities to specifically counteract each other in battle. Zangoose, as with normal types of mongoose, are well-known for hunting and killing otherwise untouchable poisonous snakes, and Seviper just happens to be their biggest target. Seviper are originally believed to have been quite similar to Arbok originally and may in fact be a close genetic relative, but after being hunted nearly to extinction by Zangoose several thousand years ago, the otherwise complacent creatures developed into ravenous monsters and developed their trademark bladed tail and powerful venom as a means of protection against Zangoose. While Zangoose are normally too swift for Seviper to attack easily, when placed in the context of how sharp and strong their tails are, it would only take a single direct hit to end a fight. As a counteraction, Zangoose developed a complete immunity to their venom and gained the Immunity (or, in rare cases, Toxic Boost) Ability in the process, in turn meaning that a direct hit and only a direct hit to a vital part of their body would actually kill them. The fact that each species have possibly had their hatred toward the other ingrained genetically is what is truly astonishing, as Seviper and Zangoose will instantly track down and kill one another if either species notices the other within a mile radius. This long feud is interestingly visible upon their bodies, as it is believed by some that the strange, erratic body markings that decorate their frames represent battle scars and are genetic reminders of the ancient and possibly never-ending feud that has been going on between these species. Whether or not this relationship can actually be linked straight to genetics is still unknown, but current hypotheses may suggest that these creatures are able to retain cell memory through multiple generations, a prospect that would be more than shocking to the medical community if it ever proves to be true.
Though they might not have the pure offense needed to be a major threat in most battles, Seviper are cunning creatures that can easily slice and dice the competition before a single counterattack can be made. With a decent arsenal of attacks on their side and a penchant for going into battle with tails and fangs sharpened to a point, it can certainly be said that any unarmored opponent will have to be extremely careful about trying to get close to these ravenous reptiles. Of course, if you really want to see a good fight, pitting them up against a Zangoose might not be a bad idea; just don't expect more than one of them to walk away from the fight in the end!

To us, it sounds like a reverberating cosmic echo of sorts, distorting the air around it to the point where it can be heard clearly from miles away, and playing any frequency we can imagine at once. That is, that's the sound it makes if it's not speaking.
Arceus can speak to us, yes, but in a very strange manner. Its telepathic voice sounds to us li
