While the town itself is fairly small and might not have much appeal to many, it is known for its serious rap competitions that occur on a nearly daily basis. The city itself is a tiered city that is bolstered against the side of a rocky cliffside, and this has helped the city build up and cover much more land than normal as it continues to grow and expand in size. As the city of water it is known as, with glorious fountains and other bodies of water within it, this is the perfect place to visit if you are in need of a refresher after trekking through the desert, and truly exists as a lovely oasis in such an otherwise barren environment, even if most of its goods have to be transported from the port city of Porto Marinada in order to get to their needed destinations. The town was once founded by bakers looking to grow grain plants on the high, flat base of the plateau of the town’s origin and thus became a small but thriving town before it was eventually enlisted by the Paldean government as the site for the region’s observatory, The high elevation and flat top of the landscape proved to be the perfect spot for it, and today, it is the most notable aspect of the town’s features, able to see clearly in the sky without needing to worry as much about the lights of lower-evolution towns and cities in the region and thus making a trip to it to see the stars at night

These days, however, it is mainly seen as a huge hub for business and runs on technology perhaps more so than any other city or town in the Paldea region. As such, this is a prime piece of real estate for anyone interested in high-tech communication and goods and services in general, and the perfect spot for travelers to visit if they need a nice piece of the modern day within the waters, beaches and low-lying grasslands that otherwise border it to the east and south, and the aforementioned mines to the north. The flowers that grow all around town harmonize with the artwork and sculptures that adorn its inhabited space, and while all types of plants are loved in the town, it has a special interest in Sunflora, with statues and the titular Pokémon themselves being found all around the area. It might have some quirky inhabitants to it, such as the Gym Leader and head artist of the town, but Artazon is a chill and laidback community that enjoys the creative freedoms of the mind more than anything else, even if it might not always make total sense to the eyes of visitors. The town’s connection with the olive market is so strong that, on a regular basis, there is a special event held where people are expected to roll giant, olive-shaped balls through an obstacle course and into a large goal in order to bring great harvests each and every year. While this activity might be a bit on the quirky side, the citizens of the town take great pleasure in partaking in it, and it can certainly be a fun diversion if one wishes to help out the locals and get a bit of fun exercise in the process. This is mainly because the city is a university city, formed around the base of the Naranja/Uva Academy, and most of the citizens that call it home have grown up as former students of the academy, coming to settle down in this city as a way of keeping nostalgia alive while also helping to foster future change in the university to help it grow and change with the times. While it might be the only city that lacks a Gym in the region, it is nonetheless valued as an entrance to the Paldea Pokémon League as well
Location Name: Zapapico Region: Paldea Developed by Humans: Yes Permanent Human Occupation: Yes Notable Features: Entrance/Exit to East Province and Dalizapa Passage Special Moniker: None Zapapico is a small town located in the middle of the Paldea region’s East Province, and its name is mainly derived from the fact that it was initially formed as a mining town at the base of Glaseado Mountain. The rocks at the base of the mountain are known to be extremely rich in precious ores and metals and thus proved to be a fine spot for a mining town to spring up, and even today most of the population consists of miners and their families looking to make a living off of extracting resources from the mountain. It might be a hard life sometimes, but the residents rarely complain and instead prefer to make the most of it to keep the town thriving even in modern times.
