Vectorman Chapter 6: Dreams of Brimstone
As I approached the volcanic terrain that was once part of the horizon, I wondered why exactly I was moving towards it in the first place. That monster bug nearly killed me in the swamp, and now I was traveling towards an environment that I had never even been told about aside from a few notes here and there. The place was more than a bit oppressive for the life-forms that used to live there, but due to the rampant mutation in the area, most if not all of the beasts here were already adapted to the intense temperatures. I, on the other hand, was definitely not. As I looked over the area with my scan

Vectorman Chapter 5: Rise of the Mutants
I really don't underhand how I managed to survive the detonation of a nuclear warhead at point-blank range, and in my opinion, I don't think that anyone else did either. It seems that they were trying to revive me in order to see if I was still functional, but I guess they were only expecting the worst and couldn't bring themselves to believe that I was still alive to some degree. If I hadn't woken up at all, I likely would have been put in the junkyard, and the last thing I needed was to end up as a tiny cube of metal while functional. They were staring at me like I had been a ghost, and while that might have been cool, I don't think that

Vectorman Chapter 4: War and Pieces
As I traveled out into the middle of nowhere in search of the last communication tower, I pondered my situation even more so than I ever would have normally. Nothing was making any sense about this whole incident; it was as if there were still some major pieces left over that couldn't be found. It didn't help that the night life was more than a bit violent for my tastes, as thunder roared across the landscape and lightning struck down anything and everything metallic in its path. As one might imagine, that can make things very, very difficult for machines to get anywhere, but even then, they were abundant in numbers that were truly unheard

Vectorman Chapter 3: Conquering Sector Gamma
The Orbot I was looking for was an old machine called Clockwork; he might not have been the most mobile of fighters, but his sheer age made him one of the wisest machines to ever be created by humans. Clockwork's sole duty was to take care of the bamboo mill that was used to make much of the paper material in the sector; we Orbots never had much interest in it, but even at this time, paper was still a commodity used by children in school among other things. To be honest, the palace just smelled funny to me, so I never bothered to visit it before this day. Not surprisingly, I found that my reception was not taken lightly, as sludge workers

Vectorman Chapter 2: Frozen Skies
While I don't claim to be someone that actually thinks about his actions before acting them out, this was different from any job I had ever had and there were major consequences to consider, such as the safety of the human race and how many drinks I could get for free once this mess was over with. Warhead might have been insane, but he was certainly not stupid; needless to say, his base was far too heavily-fortified for me to get in alone. Most of the security around the base was under his direct control and could not be budged under any normal circumstances. Seeing as I was still right in the head, though, th

Vectorman Chapter 1: Earth, 2049 B.W.
Heh it's been a while since anyone spoke to me; considering I am now a retired Orbot, I pretty much get to enjoy my life in isolation for once. So what are you here for, anyway? Money? Well, I really don't have a lot of that, but if you're interested, sit down for a while and I'll tell you a story that you will never forget.
Life hasn't ever been that easy for robots, but in the case of me and my colleagues, this is an understatement. During the earlier years of the 21st century, there were a lot of efforts made to try and clean up the planet and reverse the damage that humans had already done
