Loudred (the Big Voice Pokémon) is an uncommon Normal-type Pokémon found among grassy fields, mountainous terrain and some caverns within the Hoenn, Kalos and Galar regions as well as the Kanto, Johto, Sinnoh and Unova regions on rare occasions. Though they may not look like formidable foes, Loudred are powerful creatures capable of decimating nearly anything in their way through the use of their unique respiratory system and monstrous cries. If you're looking for a Pokémon that can really speak its mind at any moment, then consider finding one of these beasts for your collection, because when it comes to speaking their mind, these beasts really know how to deliver a shout-out!

Loudred are different from their pre-evolved form in that their respiratory systems are much similar in arrangement to most other organisms and thus allow them to breathe in and out through both their mouths and nostrils without any trouble. In addition, Loudred possess ears that are reinforced both internally and externally but in a more efficient manner that takes advantage of their actual ear drum than the rest of the ear, in turn allowing them to hear most sounds with little trouble while still being immune to sound-based moves. Loudred additionally possess fairly large lungs for their size that make up most if not the entire width of their body and about half of their height, allowing them to inhale large quantities of air at a time; this particular trait is what allows Loudred to yell and scream for relatively long periods of time, though not indefinitely as with their pre-evolved form. It is still a bit of a mystery as to why Loudred naturally progress into such a form upon evolution, but it is possible that it might simply be for the sake of predation characteristics, as Loudred have begun to develop teeth in their mouth (which are blunt but nonetheless grant them access to the Bite attack immediately after evolving) and cannot have themselves easily startled while hunting by the sound of their own voice.

Interestingly enough, the ears of Loudred have become their prime source of external sound because their modified eardrums are capable of both absorbing and transmitting incoming sound waves, making them akin to a two-way speaker phone; the only catch is that they hear things much as most creatures do but are able to increase the intensity of sound internally before releasing it through their ears. Before Loudred inhale, they often stomp their feet on the ground repeatedly in order to work up their temperament and increase the strength of their abdominal muscles temporarily; once they've inhaled, Loudred then squeeze their strong abdominal muscles and expel the air with the voice generated from their unbelievably durable larynxes added. However, only a small amount of their voice is actually released through their mouths; instead, Loudred utilize their modified eardrums to expel most of their voice in a two-prong concentrated burst, the sound traveling into resonating chambers connected to their ears before leaving through their eardrums. In essence, Loudred are able to use their ears as loudspeakers, greatly amplifying the volume and intensity of their voices. With a single breath, Loudred are able to completely decimate wood houses and even tip over trucks not just with the sheer volume of the sound but more importantly the massive pressure wave that comes with their blasting voices, making them a formidable opponent on any battlefield; this danger is further increased by the fact that Loudred generally possess arrogant dispositions and are easily irritated when things do not go their way. Unfortunately, all of this power does come at a cost: After using their ears, Loudred are rendered completely deaf for a few seconds, thus leaving them highly vulnerable to counterattack from behind.

Despite a lack of overwhelming combat strength and dexterity, Loudred are dangerous creatures that can easily put any opponent on their backs with a single blast of their voice. Those with working eardrums should definitely take notice of these foul beasts and avoid them at all costs; considering the size of the shockwave their voices produce, though, being deaf probably won't help much either. If you spot one of these creatures while traveling through the mountainous terrain they call home, just keep moving; even if their voices don't kill you, the landslide they could potentially cause will!
