Vigoroth Report

Vigoroth (the Wild Monkey Pokémon) is a rare Normal-type Pokémon found among forests within the Hoenn and Unova regions and the Blueberry Academy Terarium as well as the Kanto, Sinnoh, Alola and Paldea regions on rare occasions and some parts of South America. More unlike both its pre-evolved form and its evolved form than in any other case of evolution, Vigoroth are extremely active creatures that can never stay still for very long, constantly moving and rampaging around with little control. If you don't like to be active every moment of every day, then you might want to think twice about obtaining one of these restless beasts; high blood-pressure may not be good for humans, but for these creatures, it's effectively all they know!

For reasons still not completely understood, Slakoth undergo a dramatic and rapid change as they evolve and become young adults. In growing and preparing for the full powers of their adult form, the adrenal gland of these creatures grows way out of proportion and becomes more equivalent to a massive tumor than a necessary piece of organic equipment. This monstrous gland produces lethal levels of adrenaline at all times and, as a result, their heart begins to beat at a ten-fold tempo, rapidly increasing their metabolism and blood temperature to almost unbearable levels. The cause of this rapid transition is still a huge mystery as it occurs without warning and with no clear cause, but it is possible that Slakoth may have originally taken on this extreme form in an attempt to become more active and convert from a browsing diet to a more predatory one. However, it seems that this attempt has proven to be a failure, as Vigoroth are effectively in the worst health one could possibly imagine and are literally only a sudden scare away from experiencing a massive coronary or stroke, making them more than a bit difficult to live near in most cases. The fact that Vigoroth are additionally quite aggressive is further reflected in their move selection, as while the moves they could get as Slakoth are available to them through artificial help, their natural move set is a bit different, gaining access to the Focus Energy, Uproar, Fury Swipes, Endure, Slash, Focus Punch and Reversal moves.

As a result of all of this, Vigoroth have an extremely difficult time staying still and are always full of energy and vigor. They are always on the brink of rampaging far beyond control, making them difficult for inexperienced trainers to handle. Even when they wish to sleep, Vigoroth must go on a final, extremely wild rampage daily before they can safely rest; this is because their blood's high temperature prevents them from resting unless it is cooled, which only occurs after it is cycled through the body dozens or hundreds of times more than it normally should. Due to their extremely high metabolism, Vigoroth need to constantly eat high-energy foods such as seeds and nuts (as they are generally herbivorous but may occasionally attack and devour small animals that get in their way); however, they still cannot rest for a moment even while eating, which is often unsettling in the eyes of people. While all of this might seem like a major issue, it is unfortunately a necessary evil to deal with as even sedatives have little effect on their movement. It is important that one realizes that keeping a Vigoroth still for too long is far more dangerous for its health than doing nothing at all. When Vigoroth are forced to stand still for long periods of time, their stress levels rapidly increase; if their bodies are put under too much stress, they will quickly become sick and unable to function for some time. In addition, it is a bad idea to battle with a Vigoroth in extremely hot conditions, as the temperature of their blood will quickly rise towards lethal levels within a few minutes of exposure.

Living on the edge of an unstoppable surge of energy, Vigoroth are dangerous creatures that can quickly use their tireless movements and agility to founder nearly any opponent. With unending vitality and a spirit that is nearly unbreakable, Vigoroth are powerful fighters that can easily bring even the most unequal battles to a standstill. Just try to stay away from opponents that possess moves like Stun Spore or Thunder Wave, as the one thing that can quickly and automatically put a Vigoroth into a state of agony is an electrifying jolt from bodily Paralysis!
